| Finding a decent
starter telescope has long been a problem. The vast majority of them
are made for mass merchandisers and the primary criterion has been to
provide them as cheaply as possible. Almost all are made of plastic.
Finally, after years of searching, we have found some really good low
price telescopes for kids and other beginners. These are the Konus
Telescopes. They are made in Italy and Galileo would be proud of his
countrymen's products. Characterized by high quality components such
as glass lens and heavy tubes, they offer excellent value at an affordable
